PO
Depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder. Initial: 50 mg/day, may increase in increments of 50 mg at wkly intervals. Max: 200 mg/day.
Panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, social anxiety disorder. Initial: 25 mg/day, increased to 50 mg/day after a wk. May increase in increments of 50 mg at wkly intervals. Max: 200 mg/day.
Premenstrual dysphoric disorder. Initial: 50 mg/day. May increase in increments of 50 mg per menstrual cycle. Max: 150 mg/day (for continuous dosing) or 100 mg/day (during luteal phase). Patient who requires 100 mg/day during luteal phase-only: Initial: 50 mg/day for the first 3 days of each luteal phase period.
Adverse drug reactions: hepatitis, liver failure, jaundice, pancreatitis, stomatitis, palpitation, HTN, hypercholesterolemia, DM, tachycardia, bronchospasm, postural hypotension, amnesia, paresthesia, aggression, urinary incontinence, tinnitus.
