Adult
PO
Rheumatic disorders: 0.5-1 g/day in 1-2 divided doses.
Acute musculoskeletal disorders; dysmenorrhea. Initial: 500 mg, then 250 mg 6-8 hrly. Max: 1,250 mg on the 1st day and 1,000 mg thereafter.
Acute gout. Initial: 750 mg, then 250 mg 8 hrly.
Adverse drug reactions: peripheral edema, CHF, vasculitis, tachycardia, dyspnea; constipation, heartburn, abdominal pain, nausea; headache, drowsiness, dizziness, vertigo, lightheadedness, inability to concentrate, irritability, fatigue, malaise, insomnia, sleep disorders, dream abnormalities, leucopenia, interstitial nephritis.
