Adult
PO
Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis: 400-800 mg 3-4 times/day. Max: 3.2 g/day.
Mild to moderate pain; dysmenorrhea; fever: 200-400 mg 4-6 hrly. Max: 1.2 g daily.
IV
Pain relief: 400-800 mg 6 hrly, as needed. Max: 3.2 g/day.
Fever. Initially, 400 mg followed by 400 mg 4-6 hrly, or 100-200 mg 4 hrly. Max: 3.2 g/day.
Topical/cutaneous
Pain and inflammation associated w/ musculoskeletal and joint disorders - 5% cream, foam, gel, spray soln or 10% gel: apply as directed.
Adverse drug reactions: dizziness, headache, nervousness, epigastric pain, heartburn, nausea, decreased appetite, constipation, diarrhea, dyspepsia, flatulence, vomiting, fluid retention, hypernatremia, increased BUN.
