Adult
PO
Pain and inflammation: 150-200 mg/day in divided doses. Max: 300 mg/day in acute or severe cases.
Dysmenorrhoea. Initial: 100 mg, then 50-100 mg 4-6 hrly. Max: 300 mg/day.
Sore throat - 8.75 mg loz: dissolve 1 loz 3-6 hrly. Max: 5 loz/day. Max duration: 3 days.
Ophth
Prophylaxis of miosis during ocular surgery - 0.03% soln: instill 1 drop every 30 min starting 2 hr before and ending not less than 30 min before surgery.
Postoperative ocular inflammation - 0.03% soln: instill 1 drop into the eye 4 times/day for 1-3 wk starting at 24 hr after surgery.
Adverse drug reactions: oedema, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhoea, dyspepsia/heartburn, liver enzyme elevations, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, wt change, headache, nervousness, CNS stimulation or inhibition.
