Anorexia cachexia syndrome
-
Anorexia cachexia syndrome is a term used to cover a symptom complex commonly seen together with a weight-losing process: anorexia, early satiety, chronic nausea and fatigue, amongst others.
It reflects a symptom pattern, but not necessarily a common etiology.Reference: Andrew IM et al. Quantifying the impact of standardized assessment and symptom management tools on symptoms associated with cancer-induced anorexia cachexia syndrome Palliative Medicine. 2009. 23, 8, 680-688.
